Emotional & Spiritual Support

Learning that you or a loved one has a terminal illness presents many challenges. It can also present opportunities for life review, realized potential, celebration of accomplishments, reconnection with loved ones, and reconciliation. The Spiritual Care team at American Quality Life Hospice is available to assist you with the challenges and opportunities that may arise.

Hospice Team Services

At American QLH we recognize that our patients are individuals and no two patient’s needs are the same. Our interdisciplinary team works collaboratively to create a specialized plan of care for each individual patient. Always taking into consideration patient and family goals and expectations.

Volunteering and Giving Comfort

Volunteers are a vital part of the American Quality Life Hospice team. They give comfort, caring concern and compassion to our patients and their families. Whether you have limited time to give or you have a more flexible schedule, American Quality Life Hospice has many meaningful volunteer opportunities available.

Why American Quality Life Hospice?

We approach care on a holistic, patient-centered basis.  Recognizing that each patient and family deals with illness and grief differently, the hospice care plan is tailored to meet those varied needs, while, at the same time, addressing the symptoms, need for pain management and all other technical aspects of an individual’s care.

The comprehensive plan of care is directed by the patient and carried out by our hospice team, which may include, but is not limited to:

  • Registered Nurses
  • Licensed, Board Certified Physicians
  • Social Workers
  • Pharmacists
  • Chaplains – Bereavement Counselors
  • Licensed Practical Nurses
  • Home Health Aids
  • Trained Volunteers

All team members work together to ensure a unified care plan that meets every need.  As a patient’s needs change, be assured that the team will adapt to those changes and respond appropriately and timely.  Our team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
